這是一位父親在自己70歲生日來臨時，在孩子的博客里寫下的自己的經驗分享，同時也是十堂寶貴的人生經驗課！

1.Uncertainty is certain.

唯有變化才是不變的。Everything is always uncertain.There areinfinite(無限的)possibilities,which is what makes miracles possible.

世界上所有的事情都是不確定的。有著無數個可能性，這才讓世界上有了奇跡。

Nobody on Earth knows how things will turn out for you,if you give it your all,sometimes amazing things happen,but they’ll rarely beprecisely(精確地；恰好地)what you had expected.

世界上沒有人會知道下一秒會發生什么，所以你每天都應該跟隨著自己的直覺和激情向前走。如果你傾注全力，好事真的可能會發生，但如你所愿真的很少見。

2.Life is a circle.

生命是一個循環。Everything you do,everything you say,every choice you make,comes back around.

你做的每一件事，說的每句話以及做的每一個決定都會反饋到你身上。

If you want to be rich,be generous.If you want to make friends,be friendly.If you want to be understood by others,take the time to truly understand them.If you want to be heard,listen.

如果想要富有，那就慷慨點。想交朋友，就友好點。想被他人理解，就花點時間去了解別人。想要被傾聽，先學會去傾聽。

If you want to live an interesting life,be interested the happenings around you.If you wish to truly learn and master a skill,study what you can and then teach someone else what you know.If youlong for(渴望)peace,act in peace andharmony(和諧).If you want the world to change,start with the one in the mirror.

想生活得有滋有味，就要對周圍發生的一切充滿興趣。如果想真正學習和掌握一個技能，就盡可能地學習，并教給別人你所知道的。如果渴望和平，那就平靜和諧地處事。如果想改變世界，先改變你自己。

What you give is eventually what you get.Whatever it is you hope to achieve in this life,give it,nurture(培育)it,be it,and you will enjoy a lifetime filled with it.

你付出多少就會回報多少。無論你想在生活中完成什么，只要去付出，培養，堅持，最終你會發現人生充滿了回報。

3.Discipline(紀律)is the mother of allvirtues(美德).

自律是所有美德之母。Discipline is the chief element of bringing ideas to life.No matter how smart,skilled,orcapable(能干的)you are,nothing is possible or achievable without a disciplined mind.

自律是能讓生活充滿靈感的最主要元素。無論你多聰明，多有才，多有能力，不自律的你也將會一事無成。

Discipline is the ability to make yourself do the thing you have to do,whether you want to or not at any given moment.It is the most important of all the virtues because without it,you can’t practice any other virtue consistent ly.

自律就是那種逼著自己去做應該做的事的能力，不關乎你的意愿和時間。這是所有美德中最重要的，沒有它，你無法長久保持其他的美德。

4.You have full control of your fears.

你能控制自己的恐懼。

Your fear is 100%dependent on you for its survival,and it is the only thing standing between you and your goals.Deal with your fears;don’t let them deal with you.

恐懼的產生百分百基于你自己。這是唯一阻擋在你的目標前的東西。戰勝你的恐懼，別被它打敗。

Have patience with the thoughts and concerns that remainunsolved(未解決的)in your heart.Instead of wasting energy on avoiding what you don’t want,spend it on obtaining the knowledge you need to achieve what you do want.

對那些一直在心中糾結的想法和煩惱有點耐心吧。與其浪費精力來逃避這些麻煩，不如花時間來學習那些你想要學到的知識。

5.Good friends are priceless.

好友無價。

Friends andacquaintances(熟人)come and go,but good friends are hard to come by.They’re the ones who are always there with you in spirit—the ones who leave footprints in your thoughts and dreams.They are theglue(膠水)thatbinds(使……緊密聯系)a smile to your soul.

朋友和熟人來了又去，但好朋友可不是隨隨便便就會出現的。他們一直在精神上與你同在——會對你的想法和夢想產生影響。他們能讓你發自內心地微笑。

Hang on to them dearly.Reach out and make an effort to stay connected.Don’t get so busy or tired that you neglect their existence.Treat your good friends like loyalty.

真心的對待她們吧。努力地去和她們保持聯系。別因為太忙或勞累忽視了他們的存在。對待好友要忠誠。

6.It’s impossible to love someone who doesn’t love himself or herself.

不自愛的人也無法愛別人。When someone doesn’t love who they are,they pretend to be someone else,and others end up falling in love with their mask,instead of who they really are.To keep the affection they keep pretending and performing behind this mask.

不愛自己的人總是偽裝成別人，其他人愛上的是這層面具，不是真實的他們。他們需要不斷地保持偽裝的熱情，戴著面具過日子。

Bottom line:Self love is the greatest gift—to live and to teach.The best way to love someone is to help them love themselves.

總結:自愛是最棒的禮物——去生活，去教人。愛別人最好的方式就是幫助他們去愛自己。

7.It’s impossible to know exactly how another feels.

不可能知道別人真正的感受。The hearts and minds of others are mysterious,always,no matter how deep into them you venture.

別人的心中和腦中所想都是神秘的。無論你多么了解一個人，你都無法真正明白。

Even if you have known a person for a hundred years,it is impossible to know exactly what he or she is feeling.You can’t feel something for them,or know exactly how their mind is processing something.

即使你認識這個人一百年了，也不可能完全知道他或她的感受。你無法代替他們去感受，或是知道他們腦海中到底在想些什么。

What you can do is be a friend who listens,supports,and loves openly without judgment.Only then will you get amomentary(瞬間的)glimpse(一瞥)into their soul.

你可以做的就是和那些傾聽你，支持你和無條件愛你的人做朋友。這樣你才能在那一瞬間，得以瞥見他們的靈魂。

8.Connecting with your purpose brings great results.

有的放矢能帶來好結果。

Don’t allow others toconvince(勸服)your heart what to do.Your heart already knows.Listen to it.You’ve got to stand up for something specific,on your own two legs,or you will achieve nothing great in life.

別讓別人說服你該去干什么。你的心早有答案。跟隨自己的心。你必須用自己兩條腿站起來，為了心中所想的那件特定的事努力，否則一輩子都會一事無成。

Success comes from making a solid andpersistent(堅持不懈的)connection to that purpose.Getting anything done is a matter of continuing to remember why you have chosen to do this thing in the first place.

只有緊緊地抓住和堅持那個目標，成功才會到來。做好每件事能讓你始終記住到底為什么一開始選擇做這件事。

In the end,focused and persistent effort always brings great achievement.When your efforts are driven by your purpose,you can keep these efforts going for as long as it takes to reach this achievement.

最后，堅持不懈地努力能帶來最好的回報。當你的努力由目標驅使，你就可以向著這個目標不斷地前進努力。

9.A positive vision makes a big difference.

積極的想象會產生大影響。Don’t just see things the way they are.Imagine you are in the place you want to be,skillfully doing what you are capable of doing.Imagine you are in this place living the life you desire.Allow yourself to dream in full color,and know with certainty,that this dream is achievable if you want it to be.

別一成不變地看待問題。想象自己身處夢想之中，做那些你有能力做的事情。想象自己過著一直盼望的生活。允許自己做個多彩的夢，要堅信，只要你堅持，夢想就能成真。

Imagine the things you desire are achievable and they will be,day after day,moment by moment,as you stepboldly(大膽地)in the direction of your vision.Give thisvision(想象)all you’ve got,mentally and physically,and you’ll be amazed at the energy and excellence that comes out of you in the long run.

想象你想做的每件事都是可達到的，并最終會達到，日復一日，分分秒秒，朝著你的夢想大膽地邁進。拼盡全力去為了這個目標努力吧。你最終肯定會感嘆自己原來能釋放這么多的能量和智慧。

10.Your journey is what you make of it.

路是你自己走出來的。There’s no such thing as perfect happiness.What does exist is a continuous series ofimperfect(不完美的)moments filled with infinite possibilities and opportunities for you.

沒有什么完美的幸福。真正存在的是那些一連串連續的不完美的瞬間，夾雜著無限的可能性和機會。

You canpave(鋪設)the road you travel with doubt and despair or hope and happiness.It’s your choice.Either way,you will eventually arrive at the same destination.The only question is:Do you want to arrive there with afrown(皺眉)or a smile?

你的道路可以帶有懷疑，失望抑或希望和幸福。這是你的選擇，無論選擇哪條路，最后都會到達同一個目的地。唯一的問題在于，你是想沮喪地到達還是微笑著到達呢？
