Clinical effect of budesonide suspension combined with theophylline glycine sustained-release tablets in the treatment of acute exacerbation of the chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

[Abstract] Objective To investigate the clinical effect of budesonide suspension combined with glycine theophylline sustained-release tablets in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in the acute exacerbation period.Methods Sixty patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease admitted to our hospital from June to November 2020 were selected as the research objects.They were randomly divided into the control group and the experimental group，with 30 cases in each group. Both groups were given conventional treatment.At the same time，patients in the control group were treated with glycine theophylline sustained-release tablets.Patients in the experimental group were treated with budesonide suspension combined with glycine theophylline sustained-release tablets. The clinical effects of the two groups before and after treatment and the safety after medication were compared. Results After seven days of treatment， the total effective rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group，and the difference was statistically significant （P<0.05）. PaO2， PaCO2， and FEV1 of the two groups after treatment were better than those before treatment，and the difference was statistically significant （P<0.05）. And the difference between the two groups was statistically significant （P<0.05）. During the treatment period，there was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of palpitation，tremor，dizziness，insomnia，and gastrointestinal discomfort （P>0.05）. Conclusion The combination of budesonide suspension and theophylline glycine sustained-release tablets can improve the clinical symptoms of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in the acute phase，and has high safety.It is worthy of clinical application.
