Step 1. Lead in.

Greeting &Warming-up

Greeting：

引入：T： Welcome to Beijing zoo. I am going to show you around this zoo. I am your guide. Nice to meet you.

Ss： Nice to meet you， too.

（設計意圖：以老師扮演“導游”帶領學生參觀動物園為一條主線，把整節課的各個環節串聯起來；自然地引入新課，逐步呈現所學內容。）

Step 2. 看圖學習新單詞Learn the new words：

引入：T： The zoo has many kinds of animals . They come from different countries. Before we set off， lets learn the names of the animals.

（設計意圖：教師邊帶讀，邊在屏幕上顯示相關的動物圖片；通過這些精美生動的動物圖片來進行單詞、詞組的教學，把單詞和相關內容聯系，吸引學生的注意力，加深學生的印象。）

Step 3. Talk in pair

Get the students to talk about the questions in pairs.

A： What's your favorite animal？

B： I like ...， they are ....

（dangerous， tall， cute， beatiful ...）

A： Does the … eat meat/plants？

B： Yes， it does/ No， it doesn't.

Step 4. Listening.

First， get the students to read these questions.

1.Where is the zoo？

2.Whats Linglings favourite animal？

3.What color is the panda？

Next， get them to listen to the tape.

Then， check the answers with the whole class.

Step 5. Reading

First， get the students to read these questions.

Read and complete the table

Next， get the students to read the text in groups and discuss these questions.

Then， get them to ask and answer the questions in pairs.

（通過朗讀讓學生理解課文，并針對老師設置的問題，學生緊抓文中的關鍵詞和句進行回答，讓學生在“自主、合作、探究”中學習。）
