摘?要:三年級的學生開朗、活潑,具有豐富的表現欲望,學習習慣良好。學生們學習過包含be動詞的一般現在時,但對于包含be動詞的一般過去時是第一次接觸,學起來有一定困難。Unit 1?They were very young.通過艾米到玲玲家做客,看到玲玲家墻上的黑白照片,而展開的一系列對話。下面,筆者將簡單談談They were very young一課的教學設計。

教材分析
本課是通過艾米到玲玲家做客,看到玲玲家墻上的黑白照片,而展開的一系列對話。本課第一次出現包含was/were的一般過去時,表示過去的事情和狀態,對比過去于現在的不同。
學生分析
三年級的學生開朗、活潑,具有豐富的表現欲望,學習習慣良好。學生們學習過包含be動詞的一般現在時,但對于包含be動詞的一般過去時是第一次接觸,學起來有一定困難。
教學目標
1.知識目標:能掌握單詞were,young,old,grandparents,was,who.
2.能力目標:能運用核心句型They were young then. But they are very old now.
3.情感目標:促進小組合作精神和自學能力,同時,懂得孝敬父母,多與家人溝通。
教學重難點
過去時中was / were的使用;運用現在時和過去時對比現在與過去的不同。
教學流程
Ⅰ.Warm up
1.Greeting.
2.Sing a song-The opposite words.
3.Game-Frog Parachute.
Ⅱ.Lead in
1.Watch Part 1 cartoon,what was the butterfly before?
2.Check the answer. It was a caterpillar.
3.Watch a video about how the caterpillar becomes a butterfly.
4.Listen and repeat Part 1.
Ⅲ. Practice
1. Watch the cartoon and ask “Who are the people in the pictures?”
2. Check the answer. They are Lingling and Linglings grandparents. Teach-grandparents.
3. Watch again and ask “What were grandparents like before?”
4.Check the answer. They were very young then. Teach-young.
5.Read the text and underline what Lingling was like before.
6.Summarize the structure of simple past tense that include the was / were.Ⅳ.Production
1.Listen and repeat.
2.Read the text freely.
3.Look at the pictures and read the sentences,then reorder the pictures according to the text.
Ⅴ. Summary and homework.
1.Read the dialogue 5 times.
2.Write the differences about yourself.

They were very young. Now they are old.
Lingling was two. Her hair was short then.
She was very naughty and cute then.
Now her hair is long. She is very nice.
